Dr. Rajendra Prasad (26 January 1950 - 13 May 1962)

Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, was born on 3 December 1884 in Zeradei, in the Siwan district of Bihar near Chappra He was also an independence activist of the Indian Independence Movement. Prasad was re-elected to the presidency, becoming the only president to have been elected twice for the office. He died on 28 February 1963.
Sarvepalli Radhakrishan ( 13 May 1962 – 13 May 1967)

Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5 September 1888 in a Niyogi Telugu Brahmin family at a village near Thiruttani India, 84 km to the northwest of Madrasan. He was Indian philosopher and statesman who was the first Vice President of India and the second President of India. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award in India, in 1954. He died on 17 April 1975 .
Zakir Hussain (13 May 1967 – 3 May 1969)

Hussain, the third president of India, was born on 8 February 1897 in Hyderabad, India. He was vice chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University and a recipient of Padma Vibhushan and Bharat Ratna. He died on 3 May 1969 before his term of office was ended .
Varahagiri Venkata Giri (3 May 1969 – 20 July 1969)

Giri was born on 10 August 1894 in Berhampur, Madras. He was the fourth President of India, appointed as acting president following the death of Hussain. He resigned in a few months to take part in the presidential elections. He died on 23 June 1980.
Muhammad Hidayatullah (20 July 1969 – 24 August 1969)

Hidayatullah was bornon 17 December 1905 in the well-known family of Khan Bahadur Hafiz Mohammed Wilayatullah, an upper-class family in Lukhnow. He served as Acting President until the election of Venkata Giri as the President of India. He died on 18 September 1992.
Varahagiri Venkata Giri (24 August 1969 – 24 August 1974)
Political Party –Indian National Congress
Giri is the only person to have served as both an Acting President and President of India. He was a recipient ofthe Bharat Ratna, and has functioned as Indian Minister of Labour and High Commissioner to Ceylon (Sri Lanka).
Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed (24 August 1974 – 11 February 1977)

Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed the fifth President of India was born on 13 May 1905 in Delhi. He was the minister of Food and Agriculture, Cooperation, Education, Industrial Development and Company Laws. He served as a Minister before being elected as president. He died on 11 February 1977 before his term of office ended.
Basappa Danappa Jatti (11 February 1977 – 25 July 1977)

Basappa Danappa Jatti was the fifth Vice President of India during Ahmed's term of office, and was sworn in as Acting President upon Ahmed's death. He earlier functioned as the Chief Minister for the State of Mysore. He was born on 10 September 1912 and died on 7 May 2002.
Neelam Sanjiva Reddy (25 July 1977 – 25 July 1982)

Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was born 0n 19 May 1913 in Illur village in Madras, he was the Sixth President of India. Over the course of a long political career, Reddy held several key offices, as the first and two time Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, a two time Speaker of the Lok Sabha and Union Minister. He remains the only person to be elected to the office of the President of India unopposed .He died on 1 June 1996.
Giani Zail Singh (25 July 1982 – 25 July 1987)

Giani Zail Singh was the Seventh President of India. He was born on 5 May 1916 in Sandhwan, Faridkot district. He was a Sikh by religion, was given the title of Giani, as he was educated and learned about Guru Granth Sahib at Shaheed Sikh Missionary College in Amritsar. He died on 25 December 1994.
Ramaswamy Venkataraman (25 July 1987 – 25 July 1992)

R.Venkataraman was an Indian politician, lawyer and served as the eighth President of India. He was born on 4 December 1910 in Rajamadam, village in Tanjore district of Tamil Nadu. He served as the member of the Lok Sabha four times and as the Union Finance Minister and Defence Minister. He died on 27 January 2009.
Shankar Dayal Sharma (25 July 1992 – 25 July 1997)

Shankar Dayal Sharma was born on 19 August 1918 in Bhopal. He was the ninth President of India. Sharma was Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, and the Indian Minister for Communications. He has also served as the governor of Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Maharashtra. He died on 26 December 1999.
Kocheril Raman Narayanan ( 25 July 1997 – 25 July 2002)

Kocheril Raman Narayanan was the tenth President of India. He was born on 27 October 1920 in Perumthanam, Travancore, Kerala and was the first Dalit and the first Malayali to become President. Narayanan described himself as a ‘citizen President’ and a ‘working President’. As such, he set a benchmark between an ‘executive President’ who has been assigned with direct power and a ‘rubber-stamp President’ who simply endorses government orders without questioning or deliberation. He was regarded as ‘the best diplomat of the country’ by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1955. He died on 9 November 2005.

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam born on 15 October 1931 in Tamil Nadu, India, usually referred to as Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, was the eleventh President of India. During his term as The President, he was popularly known as the People's President. Before his term as India's president, he worked as an aeronautical engineer and is popularly known as the Missile Man of India for his work on development of ballistic missile and space rocket technology. Kalam also received the Bharat Ratna.
Pratibha Patil (25 July 2007 - 25 July 2012)

Pratibha Patil was born on 19 December 1934 in the village of Nadgaon, in the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, India. She was the twelfth President of India. She was the first woman to become President of India. She was also the first female Governor.
Pranab Mukherjee (25 July 2012 - till date)
Political Party - Indian National Congress
Mukherjee was born on 11 December 1935 to a Bengali family at village Mirati in Birbhum district in the Bengal province of British India (now in West Bengal). He was a senior leader of the Indian National Congress until he resigned from political office preceding his election as President on 22 July 2012. He took office as the thirteenth President of India. In a political career spanning six decades, Mukherjee was a senior leader of the Indian National Congress.
