Introduction- NEET MDS 2021
NEET MDS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various PG MDS Courses under Dentists Act, 1948 (amended from time to time).
No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MDS Courses.
NEET MDS 2021 will be conducted by National Board of Examinations. Candidates may note that NBE has no role regarding counseling and allotment of seats.NBE will not entertain any queries regarding availability of seats, counseling and allotmentof seats.
Scope of NEET MDS 2021
NEET- MDS 2021 shall be the single eligibility cum entrance examination for the academic session 2019 which will include the following:
a) All India 50% quota seats for MDS courses (all states except Jammu & Kashmir)
b) State quota seats for MDS courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the state of Jammu & Kashmir)
c) MDS courses at all Private Dental Colleges, Institutions & Universities all across the country
d) MDS courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
The following Dental institution is not covered by centralized admissions for MDS seats through
NEET MDS for 2021 session:
AIIMS, New Delhi
Note: No state government/private dental college/universities including the state of Jammu & Kashmir shall be conducting any separate entrance exam for admission to their MDS Courses for the academic session 2021-2022
Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents:
Printed copy of Admit Card with photo pasted on it; and Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired) – PAN Card/Voter ID/Driving License/Passport/Aadhaar Card (original with photograph)
Syllabus: The syllabus for the exam shall be that of BDS standard and shall cover all the subjects/syllabustaught during the BDS course as prescribed in the DCI Revised BDS Course Regulations, 2007 as amended from time to time
The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computers network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed.
The exam comprises of 240 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted 3 hrs.
Negative Marking: There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
