Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS PGLCETT 2023) conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana State on behalf of TSCHE to offers admission to eligible candidates in law programs in the state of Telangana.

Medium of Test: English

Nationality and Domicile: The candidate should be an Indian National and should satisfyLocal/Unreserved status requirement as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions(Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 and the amendments made thereto from time to time.

Medium of Entrance Test: The question paper will be set both in English.

Qualifying Marks for TS PGLCET 2023

The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 35% (i.e. 42 marks out of total 120 marks).

For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, no minimum qualifying percentage of marks is prescribed.

Test Paper Information

 The Test is designed to evaluate the candidate’s ability and aptitude to pursue the study of Law. The Test consists of three parts. Total number of questions will be 120 and the duration of test is 90 minutes. Maximum marks are 120.

Part – A: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: General Knowledge and Mental Ability.

Part – B: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: Current Affairs.

Part – C: Consists of 60 questions carrying 60 marks: Aptitude for the Study of Law

There is no negative mark for incorrect answers.

Medium of Entrance Test: The question paper will be set in English only.

Eligibility

Candidates holding LL.B./B.L. 3/5 Year degree on the date of application are eligible andcandidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are alsoeligible.

A candidate appearing for LLB/BL degree examinations may take the TSPGLCET inanticipation of results.

However, he/she must have passed at the time of counselling.

The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 25% (i.e. 30 marks out of total120 marks).

There will be no minimum qualifying mark for S.C & S.T candidates for ranking.

For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, no minimumqualifying percentage of marks is prescribed. 

The candidates who completed their studies upto LL.B. in States other than Telangana andAndhra Pradesh are not eligible for admissions under Convener Quota. Those candidates areeligible for admission under NIQ/Management Quota provided the candidate satisfies all theother eligibility conditions.

The candidates are expected to be thorough in the related topics of Jurisprudence,Constitutional law, Public International law, Mercantile law, Labour laws, Crimes andTorts, Other laws. However concentration should be on the following

1. The candidates have to download Hall Tickets from the website https://lawcet.tsche.ac.in one week before the Test by entering his/her details.

2. The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website https://lawcet.tsche.ac.in after publication of results.

3. In case of any difficulty the candidates may contact the office of the TS LAWCET-2023.

Hall Ticket is not transferable. Any tampering of Hall Ticket will automatically lead to thedisqualification of the candidate from appearing at the test and liable for prosecution.

While filling the application form, Regional Centres will bedisplayed based on the availability and once it has reached themaximum capacity then the Centre will not be displayed inapplication form.

Qualifying Marks

QUALIFYING MARKS FOR TS PGLCET-2023

The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 25% (i.e. 30 marks out of total 120 marks). There will be no minimum qualifying mark for S.C & S.T candidates for

For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, no minimum qualifying percentage of marks is prescribed.

Merely qualifying in the entrance test does not entitle a candidate to have been admitted into LL. M course unless the candidate:

  • Appears for Counselling at the notified Centres.
  • Applies in response to the admission notification issued by the authority concerned; and

Satisfies all the eligibility conditions of admission stipulated by the authority in the Admission/Counselling notification.

Rank List

The Candidates will be ranked as per the total marks obtained in the Entrance Test. If there is a tie in total marks, the marks obtained in Part-A of Entrance Test will be considered for awarding the rank. If the tie still persists they may be bracketed together for the purpose of ranking and seniority in age may be considered at the time of admission.
Rank obtained in TS PGLCET-2023 is valid for admission into LL.M. courses for the academic year 2023-2024 only.
