The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the CBI to file a case diary and investigation status report of the 2017 SSC Examination Leak case.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday instructed the CBI to file a case diary and investigation status report of the SSC Paper Leak case of 2017. A bench of Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Sanjeev Khanna on the SSC paper leak case said that the matter will be heard on April 11. The apex court allowed the SSC joint graduate level (SSC CGL) 2017 re-examination results to be announced on April 1 last year by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The court had said that in the organization itself, millions of unemployed youth had to suffer from this because of corruption.
The questionnaire of SSC joint graduate level 2017 exam was allegedly leaked by the youths who hoped for employment for several days due to leakage. During this protest, the Employee Selection Commission handed over the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation on the allegations of leakage of question paper. The apex court had on August 31 last year banned declaration of the results of the examination, saying that it seems that the entire examination and system is tainted.
Millions of students were involved in this examination. Keeping in view the interests of these students, the apex court had asked the cancellation of the 2017 examination and fresh examination by the National Testing Agency or the CBSE. However, the Center had said that the whole question paper does not need to be re-examined because the leak was 'very limited' and the people involved were identified and action was being taken against them.
