The Supreme Court has ordered the removal of the age limit for the IIT Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Advanced 2019. Aspirants who are above the age of 25 years can now appear for the IIT JEE main and advanced examinations 2019. Those above 25 years of age can provisionally take the IIT JEE Exam 2019 till the final verdict on the plea on age barrier for the exam is pronounced by the Supreme Court. The order of the apex court has brought joy among the aspirants seeking admission in the reputed IITs. After the SC order, candidates of all age groups will be eligible to appear in the examination. However, there is no clear information on the implementation year of the order.
JEE Main Age Limit
The order would also lead to the removal of age limit for the JEE Main exam as it is the eligibility deciding exam for JEE Advanced. And, with NTA completing the first attempt of the JEE Main 2019 exam, it is still not clear how would the age limit be removed. The result of the same was declared on 19th January 2019. So, there is a question mark on the implementation of the order from this year. The second session of the JEE Main exam will be conducted in the month of April.
The result of the first session of the JEE Main is available on the official website – jeemain.nic.in. The result has been released only for Paper-1 and Paper-2 result will be released later. Candidates can also check out the Paper-1 answer key on the official website. Here is a quick detail on JEE Main result:
The merit list for JEE Main will be prepared after considering the marks of both the sessions.
JEE Advanced 2019 No clarity yet
However, there is not much clarity about this move that how the order would be implemented and from which year.
With the order, the effect would also lead to removing the age limit on JEE Main examination. Since one attempt of JEE Main 2019 examination has already been conducted by NTA for the year, how would age limit be removed is still to be seen.
The JEE Main 2019 result was declared by National Testing Agency in January.
