The son of a farmer, A 29-year-old IRS Officer Pradeep Singh from Sonipat, Haryana has topped the Civil Services exam 2019. He ranked first out of 829 candidates who have qualified for the prestigious civil services in the results announced by the Union Public Service Commission.
After last three attempt, this was the fourth attempt at civil services for Singh, 29, and this time he correctly aims the bird eye and successfully crack the exam. He said “during his preparation for exam he was very focused and put all his effort to achieve his target”.
Singh, who hails from Sonipat district in Haryana and had qualified in 2019 for Indian Revenue Service (customs and central excise).
He said it is a "dream come true" and he wants to join the Indian Administrative Service as he is keen to work for the deprived and poor sections of society.
His father (Sukhbir Singh) is very happy for his success and very proud. He said "My father is very happy today. My entire family is very happy,". Singh Mother is homemaker, and his elder brother works in the insurance sector and younger sister is pursuing MSc in mathematics
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has congratulated Singh and hoped that other youths from the state will also take inspiration from him.
With his Twitter, Khattar said, “My heartiest congratulations to Haryana's son Pradeep for getting first rank in UPSC Civil Service exam results. I hope that other youth of the state will also take inspiration from you to achieve higher goals."
