BANGALORE: Celebrating its 88th foundation day, state-run Syndicate Bank today said it is now in the league of large banks with a business of over Rs 3,46,000 crore as on September 30.
"Bank has been progressing on sound financials, and registered business level of Rs 3,46,000 crores with 33 million customers as on September 30. The bank is now in the league of large banks," Syndicate Bank CMD S K Jainsaid, speaking at an event organised to celebrate bank's 88th foundation day here.
"Spread over 3047 branches, bank is having strong fundamentals and is showing consistent performance," he added.
Stating that bank is taking up lot of initiatives, to improve customer service by revisiting the procedures and introducing new products shortly, Jain said, "Going forward bank intends to leverage the IT platform for better customer services."
He said, "Our goal is to use the potential in each of the staff members to excel in their area, offer best customer service and continue to be everyman's bank, for every banking needs."
In commemoration with its 88th foundation day the bank announced the opening of 88 branches in different states of the country. It also initiated various CSR ( Corporate Social Responsibility) activates.
Syndicate Bank also announced the launch of 5 new products focused on MSME sector, that include- SyndDoctor, SyndGranite, SyndTextiles, SyndCashew, SyndTransport.
"They are tailor made schemes, to meet the credit requirements of cashew industry, transport operators, weavers etc," bank officials said.
