NEW DELHI: NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has entered into Power Purchase Agreement with Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) for supply of 300 MW Round the Clock (RTC) power for period of 3 years starting from March 1, 2014.
PPA was signed by Shri N K Sharma, CEO, NVVN and D Dinesh, CE, commercial, KSEB in the presence of Aryadan Muhammed, Hon'ble Minister for Power and Transport, Kerala last night in Thiruvanthapuram.
The PPA envisages supply of over 7 billion units power sourced by NVVN from Chhattisgarh during this contract period. The contract has been bagged by NVVN, through a competitive bidding process conducted by KSEB.
K M Chandrasekhar, Vice Chairman, Kerala State Planning Board, Nivedita P Haran, Addl Chief Secretary(Power, Labour and Rehabilitation) Govt of Kerala, M Sivasankar, Chairman, KSEB, Annamma John, Member (Generation), KSEB, A K Maggu , GM,NVVN and other dignitaries of KSEB ,NTPC and NVVN Limited were also present on the occasion.
