Which mission launched recently for India? 

Answer: Chandrayaan-2 

ISRO launches Chandrayaan-2 today at 2:43 from Sriharikota. It has been launched with the help of GSLV-MkIII. Chandrayaan-2's lander "Vikram" will have a soft landing on the moon on September 6-7.


India's mission was to launch Chandrayaan-2 on July 15, 2019. Just 56 minutes before the launch, ISRO detected some technical flaws in Chandrayaan-2, the momentum was postponed after the countdown stopped. 

The name of Chandrayaan-2 lander is named "Vikram", while its rover is named "Pragyan". 

Mission Chandrayaan-2 

Chandrayaan-2 is India's second mission on the Moon, it is India's toughest mission so far. This is an upgraded version of Chandrayaan's mission launched in 2008. The Chandrayaan mission had only revolutionized the moon, but in the Chandrayaan-2 mission a rover would also be lowered on the surface of the Moon.

ISRO has made all parts of this mission indigenously in India, including orbiter, lander and rover. In this mission, ISRO will try to land the Land Rover at the Moon's South Pole for the first time. This rover will travel on the surface of the moon and analyze the surface of the Moon. 

 Chandrayaan-2 will be launched from GSLV Mk III. This is the first interactive mission of ISRO in which ISRO will roll over another astronomical object. ISRO's Spacecraft (orbiter) weighs 3,290 kg, this spacecraft will collect data by circling the Moon, it is mainly used for remote sensing.

The 6-wheeler will travel on the surface of the Moon to collect clay and rock samples, thereby, it is likely to get information about the moon's earth-crust, minerals and hydroxyl and water-ice signs. Israel is also in December, 2018. Preparing to take mission on the Moon. This data will be sent to Earth by the orbiter. Israel is also preparing to launch a missile mission in December, 2018. Soft-landing on the surface of the moon will be the hardest part of this mission, so far only the US, Russia and China have been able to do this. Israel's Spacecraft crashed on the moon.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a 1 kilometer long Uzh bridge and 617.40-meter-long Basantar Bridge in Samba in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. These two bridges have been constructed under Project Contact by Border Roads Organization (BRO). 

Main point 

Ujh bridge: The length of this bridge is one kilometer, it is the longest bridge constructed by the Border Roads Organization (BRO). This bridge is constructed within the prescribed time. The bridge has been constructed at a cost of around Rs. 50 crores. This bridge is located on Parol-Korepannu-Rajpura road on UjhNallah. 

Bastar bridge: This bridge has been constructed at a cost of 41.7 crores. This bridge is located on Rajpura–Madwal–Pangadur–Phulpur road over BasantarNallah.

Both of these bridges are important for the villages of Kathua and Samba, which will make connectivity better.

Project Contact: 

It was started by Border Roads Organization in 1975, its headquarters is Jammu. It includes 2200 kilometers of road network from Pir Panjal (North) to Pathankot (South) and Poonch (west) to Dalhousie (East). 

BRO works on the construction and repair of roads in border areas, it is useful for local people and the army.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
