have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of any StateBoard of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics,Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject AND Secured minimum 50 %marks (minimum 45% marks, in case of SC/ST categories) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics andChemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together 

For students hailing from States other thanMaharashtra State, this criteria will be governed by rules of Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State.

Selection Process: Valid Score in JEE MAIN.

Pysical and Medical Standard: 

Physical Standard :

(a) For Male: MINIMUM Height : 165 cms. Only (Relaxable by 5 cms in the case of Garhwalls, Assamese Gorkha and member of the Schedule tribes).

Chest : 81 cms. Only Unexpanded and 86 cms. Only and Expanded (Fully expanded with minimum of 5 cms. Only Expansion).

Weight : min. 50 kgs.

(b) For Female: MINIMUM Height : 157 cms. (Relaxable by 2.5 cms in the case of Garhwalls, Assamese Gorkha and member of the Scheduled tribes).

Weight : 46 kgs.

Medical Standard : Both for Male and Female

1) Visual: better eye – 6/6 without aid (Eligible vision – 6/6 only) Worse eye – 6/12

2) Colour Vision:- No colour blindness.

3) The candidate must not have knock-knee, flat foot, squint eyes and stammering. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect.

Note: The candidates are requested to note that this course consist of rigorous physical training involving physical stress and strain. Hence, in addition to the above mandatory physical and medical standards prescribed, the candidates will require the zeal and zest to take up uniformed, disciplined, practical field fire ground operation training during the course. The Physically challenged candidates may take note of these facts.
