Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English (Honours) / Major Subject as English at the Degree level with at least 45% marks in aggregate for the SC/STand 50%marks in aggregate for the General category from an Institution/University recognized by the UGC

Any candidate who wishes to pursue M.A. in English must hold a Bachelor’s Degree having English as Elective Subject at the Degree level and has secured 50% marks in aggregate for General and 45% marks in aggregate for the SC/ST categories in the subject concerned in the Bachelor’s Degree examination for candidates who do not have Honours/ Major or a major subject. 

Preferences will be given to those having Honours in their Bachelor’s Degree.

Total number of Seat Reservations for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority/ General Categories are reserved strictly as per State Government’s reservation policy.

5% Relaxation of marks in aggregate for Differently Abled Persons (DAP)/having NCC “C”  ertificate/NSS Certificate/Eminent persons in National and International level/  Children of Ex-Serviceman at the time of admission.

Age Relaxation for Admission: Age limit will be 35 years old at the time of Admission for all the candidates. However, there will be no age limit for the candidates who have passed out from (Manipur University of Culture) MUC.

All the candidates must appear for the Entrance Test/ Examination except the candidates of  Manipur University of Culture (MUC).
